Introducing Latisse for Longer, Thicker, Darker Eyelashes
Latisse was first approved by the FDA in 2001 for lowering intraocular pressure for people with glaucoma. (It is interesting to note that Botox was also originally approved for treating an eye disorder.) One of the side effects noticed by glaucoma patients were longer and fuller eyelashes. So, Allergan conducted another clinical trial to study the product’s aesthetic affect on eyelashes.
